Saudi Flag historical colour?

So, even though the Saudi government gave official rules on the colour of the flag, does this still mean that the current colouration should go all the way back to 1973? Was the darker shade of green at RGB 0 84 48 go all the way back to 1973, or should there be an old version of the flag with the RGB 0 108 53 that would have been the flag until the now official colours were standardized. Color of the flag

I saw in in the website of Encyclopedia Britannica (https://www.britannica.com/topic/flag-of-Saudi-Arabia) that the color green of the flag of Saudi Arabia is linked with Fatimah, the daughter of Prophet Muhammad (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) and this article says that it is used to represent Islam. Please check the article and other trustworthy sources and let me know or modify the article if the former is the more correct one. Salmu770 (talk) 13:31, 25 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
